British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople confirmed on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
The boxer had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives confirmed on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.
Remembering the Victims
The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the loss of his two trusted companions.”
His release from the hospital follows the global fight fans had expressed its support for the fighter in the wake of the terrible crash.
