'Living a Nightmare': Families of Unaccounted For Teens Desperately Seek News After Ski Resort Fire
The loved ones of teenagers lost after a devastating fire at a venue in a Switzerland's ski resort are enduring an excruciating period of uncertainty for official news and pleading for information about their loved ones via social media.
The fire devastated the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Confirmed footage reveal the roof structure catching alight as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.
Officials have stated that it could take an extended period to formally name the fatalities of the tragedy, which killed numerous partygoers and injured another 119. A spokesperson noted on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been identified, with work ongoing to name the final individuals.
In the interim, loved ones have been using online platforms to plead for clues about their friends who were present at the venue that night.
Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing
The location of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are currently unknown, according to an appeal from his family.

The Italian Golf Federation has released a tribute that he is deceased, without directly referencing the tragedy, honoring a "talented young man who represented passion and authentic values."

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also unaccounted for. His parent told reporters that he had been on holiday but had gone out with a group and ended up at the bar.
