In a commanding showing, England secured one more victory against Albania, with a number of players producing standout performances during the match.

Starting Lineup

The goalkeeper Had little to do required in the first half until tested by Arbër Hoxha’s curling effort. A sliding intervention on Qazim Laci showed sharp anticipation. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Examined by Albania’s primary attacker in their forward. Started through the middle to begin with then shifted to the flank after Saka came on. 7

The defender Moved forward with the ball at his feet, as he has done in the past. Sometimes lacked urgency in possession with the experiment discontinued after the break. 6

The tall defender A nuisance at set pieces, as always, but may be an alternative for his teammate in defense as opposed to alongside him. A careless distribution in the second half came close to an opener for the visitors. 6

Nico O’Reilly A further composed showing from the 20-year-old after his initial appearance versus Serbia. A teammate was unable to take the most of a clever flick behind the Albania defence. The role is firmly his at this stage. 7

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning with the national team. A bit careless in possession however his whipped corners caused problems. A useful tempo-setter for the manager to utilize versus sides that sit back. Booked for a rash foul. 6/10

Declan Rice Crosses on corner kicks and free kicks caused problems. Was given license to move down the left flank but was in an offside position when the ball arrived in front of goal. Given a deserved break around the 60-minute point. Six

Jude Bellingham Operated in an advanced position down the right and put in dirty work. Showed glimpses of brilliance and scuffed a shot over. Replaced towards the end by Rogers, his competition, after being booked. 7/10

The winger Was presented with England’s clearest opportunity in the opening period, his strike well saved by the opposing goalkeeper. With Quansah staying deep, it fell to him to provide width down the right side although his balls into the box were hit and miss. Replaced late in the match. 6

The captain The difference-maker with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes for his country. The first a typical poacher’s finish and his next a superb header after peeling away away from the opposition. Aged 32, he continues to improve and England stand a real opportunity next summer when he's in the team. Eight

Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact on the left flank. Was presented with a good opening following a pass from a teammate but Strakosha kept it out. His replacement produced a bigger an impact when substituted. 5/10
